My favorite Superhero

My favorite Superhero
Hi everybody! Today, I’ll talk about my favorite superhero, which is “Goku”. He was – in Dragon Ball- a kid who had a monkey tail which allowed him to become a giant and to have amazing powers.

He belonged to the race of “Saiyajin”. He, with other friends and enemies, were searching the Dragon Balls, which were scattered throughout the world. When they found all balls a dragon (Shen long) appeared and fulfilled a wish.
After, Goku lost his tail, but he used his powers as a member of the race “Saiyajin”. One of the most important things of them is that they could increase a lot their "ki", which was his strength.

Goku must fight many villains (like Freeza, Cell, Babidi, Majin Buu, and Vegeta) who want to attack Earth and destroy the human race, but Goku always saved us.
I like Goku, because he always wanted to save Earth, he was so good, although he wasn’t a human. I really thought he was a superhero… even, I dreamed with him, I loved him! I think that the values he represents are the honesty, humility and perseverance, because there were villains who were hard to win, hahaha.

I admire Piaget

Hi everybody. Today I'll talk you about a person that I admire, and he is Jean Piaget (William Fritz Jean Piaget). He was born on August 9, 1939 in Switzerland and he died on September 16, 1980 in Geneva.

He studied Natural Sciences and then about psychoanalysis and intelligence, working on Genetic Psychology and Epistemology of Science. He recognized that child's thinking differs from adult’s thinking and he supported the idea that children develop in a progressive way  going through different stages, which were:

1) Sensory-motor stage (0-2 years) characterized by an enormous curiosity about the world

2) Pre-operational stage (2-7 years): children are egocentric and they think in world like a magical world

3) Concrete operational stage (7-11 years): characterized by a literal and concrete thinking

4) Formal operational stage (11-15 years): children have ability to understand abstract language

I like Piaget because I think that he was one of the first people to recognize the child as a subject who means things and world of a different way. Today, his ideas have been refuted many times, but I think he is a person who should be recognized for his great contribution, because after all, we all go through childhood.

About me

Well, it's a bit difficult to describe oneself, but I'll try. I'm a student of second year of Psychology... yes, a sophomore. My family lives in Molina and I go once a month to visit them. I live in Santiago in an apartment with my boyfriend and two friends ... my life is really fun!
I like the career I'm studying, but I think it's just one of many careers that I want to study.

I love having interesting conversations with interesting people.

I think this activity will help us to know us more like career mates and to talk about things that maybe never before we have thought.
